The Post Doctoral and Post Master International Institute is a non-profit initiative created for professionals seeking more than traditional academic programs.
This experience combines applied research, international collaboration, academic mentorship, and interdisciplinary dialogue to help participants expand their impact across the public, corporative, nonprofit, and higher education sectors.

Meet the Academic and Executive Leadership Team

Juan de Dios Pineda, PhD., H.C.
President and CEO, ACU
Program Academic Chair
Expert in public policy, government, and higher education. Dr. Pineda has received multiple Honorary Doctorates for his contributions to international higher education, public policy research, and political science. For ten years, he has served as Academic Director of the Postdoctoral Program in Government, Public Policy, and Higher Education at UNM.

Gillian Mandich, PhD.
Keynote Speaker
Faculty
Dr. Mandich holds a PhD in Health Science from Western University and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Manitoba, Canada. Two-time TEDx speaker and appear regularly in the media. She is a happiness researcher, educator, speaker, and author who holds a PhD in Health Science from Western University.

Bruce J. Perlman, PhD.
Keynote Speaker
Faculty
Former Regents’ Professor and Director of UNM’s School of Public Administration. Dr. Perlman has been a Senior Fulbright and UNM presidential Lecturer, and held the Hatch Chair in Law and Public Policy. Author of over fifty academic journal articles and publications and two edited books, with consulting experience on government affairs both in the U.S. and abroad.

Lol-be Peraza González, PhD.
Seminar Leader
Faculty
Expert in public finance, government auditing, and public administration. Dr. Peraza holds a master’s degrees in Economics and Government Auditing, and a postdoctoral specialization from the UNM. She currently serves as Head of the National Agrarian Registry in Mexico City and has more than 20 years of experience in public finance, budgeting, and federalized spending.

Aitana Maldonado Hernández, MS.
Executive Coordinator
Adjunt Professor
Specialist in public policy, and local governance. Aitana Maldonado holds a Master’s degree in Applied Economics, a Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Government, and Public Policy and a Post-Master specialization from the UNM. She has experience in public sector collaboration, economic and social development projects, and academic work, with a focus on competitiveness and public management.

Miguel Angel Flores Ponce, BS.
Digital Marketing
Communications Executive
Expert in public speaking, leadership, and strategic communication. Miguel Ángel holds a degree in Administration, Government, and Public Policy and is a certified speaker and trainer in innovation, and communication. A TEDx speaker and instructor, he has trained leaders, entrepreneurs, and public officials across academic, governmental, and private sector organizations.
